Annual KDWP&T Linn County Fair Fishing Derby will take place Saturday, August 11, at the County Fairgrounds (+38° 8' 45.86", -94° 49' 21.97") located just northwest of Mound City, Kansas, on Kansas Highway 7. Registration is 8:00 a.m. Fishing starts at 8:30 a.m. We will have a casting contest and other activities at 10:00 a.m. The Linn County Kansas Chapter of Fishing’s Future is honored and excited to be teaming with Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism in this annual event. Come on out and join the fun! We’ll have giveaway bags for all of the youth fishing, along with some prize drawings. This event attracts a good crowd of young fishermen every year, and always produces some exciting catches and competition. Thanks to KDWP&T Area Fisheries Biologist Don George for his efforts every year to organize this fun event.
