It is a family event with several components\, one of which is a kids fishing tournament. They have asked Fishing's Future to be there to provide support/assistance/whatever. Fishing's Future will have fishing equipment for loan\, Backyard Bass\, knot tying\, fish ID and handling\, and a bunch of giveaway bags with fishing regs\, etc. in them. We will do the events as stations during the 30 minutes between when they start registration and when they start fishing.

You will also find good crappie and bluegill angling. The lake is my personal favorite for taking the grandsons fishing\, since they nearly always catch some fish. No special permits are required for fishing. Boats are for fishing only. There is a half mile of hiking trail surrounding the lake along the shoreline. A lot of the shoreline is flat making it a great location for kids and family fishing.
