Martin Van Den Boogerd

Owner, Town Press Media

Being a native born in the Netherlands and surrounded by water, you would think Martin grew up fishing. He didn’t catch his first Mackerel until he arrived in the states off the Florida shoreline when at the age of ten. He’s been “hooked” ever since.

From there Martin started cultivating a collection of lures and started learning about different fish and their surroundings to better understand saltwater fishing. With that knowledge Martin learned to use general spinning reels and fly fishing but has yet to master the bait caster reel – which he is still working on.

I am creative, and passionate about life and a master of technical things – such as creating this amazing website for Fishing’s Future and other IT related items.

I am honored to be part of Fishing’s Future as I believe today’s society is too caught up to dive into quality family relationships. Fishing is a wonderful way for families to start making new memories; away from technology while giving your mind, body and soul a break from normal, hectic daily life.
