If you are looking for away to pass on you love of fishing this might be just th course for you.  This is a course to help individuals improve their ability to teach basic fishing to potential anglers.

With the budget cuts and reduction in biologist the remaining staff is stretched pretty thin, Kdwpt has set up this program to try and cover some of the educational duties normally done by fishery biologist.  Your volunteer hours also can be applied to the Sport Fishing grant which can earn the department much needed funds.

Fishing's Future has partnered with the state to teach this class.  We are a non profit dedicated to reconnecting families with fishing in the outdoors.

The class will be just outside of Howard, Kansas, at West Elk High School.
