Vamos a Pescar, in coordination with Fishing’s Future and Texas Parks & Wildlife, is sponsoring online Family Fishing Camps as well as in person fishing events.
The program includes 4 online workshops and hands-on activities on Texas fishing and water safety. Your will also be sent some videos teaching regulations, cleaning & cooking your catch , as well as how to shop for fishing equipment. Participants will also learn to be good stewards of land and water. Event dates and activities :
Session 1 BASIC Fishing Knots, Lures, Bait
Session 2 BASIC Fishing Rods, Reels, Casting
Session 3 Water Safety
Session 4 Fishing Regulations & Fish Habitat
Session 5 Video—How to Shop
Extra 2 videos— Fish Cleaning & Cooking
Session 6 Fishing Trip
Must be registered to attend any of the online or in person events. As well as to help in pre and post surveys.
These ONLINE program will be limited to 30 participants (youth and adults).
IN PERSON will be limited to 20 participants (youth and adults).
