Texas Parks & Wildlife Angler Education / Basic Fly combo

If you are NOT TPWD Angler Education certified, PLEASE follow the instructions below to create a TPWD Profile and also allows Texas to do a Criminal Background Check.
BEFORE THE WORKSHOP:
If you are already a registered TPWD Volunteer (example: Sea Center, TFFC, Master Naturalist,) there is no need to create a new profile. Just log-in and sign-up for the Angler Education Instructor Opportunity.
If you are not a registered TPWD Volunteer, please go to the TPWD Volunteer website, https://tpwd.texas.gov/volunteer/ and complete these steps: 1. Select “FIND AN OPPORTUNITY” (menu on top right of page), enter in the KEYWORD search box: Angler Education Instructor. 2. The Opportunity, Angler Education Instructor Training Pending with the location “statewide” will appear, click on the “Click here for details or to sign up” link 3. On the following screen, click on the blue SIGN UP button (right side) 4. Click on the blue “Apply to become a Volunteer” link and set up your profile. Remember to… Authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check section. All fields must be completed including your Drivers License number and date of birth
If you need help creating your profile, please contact the TPWD Angler Education staff at 512-389-8183 At the workshop, you will receive an Angler Education Instructor Guidebook, Instructor Certificate and Pin. Once TPWD receives the Criminal Background Check approval, TPWD will send you an email to confirm your eligibility as an official Angler Education Volunteer Instructor and your Angler Education Instructor wallet card. (This process should take about 2-4 weeks.)
