Fishing's Future receives the ASA FishAmerica Foundation R3 Grant

The Fishing's Future Ambassador Program is ready to go!

About FFAP

The Fishing’s Future Ambassador Program (FFAP) focuses on recruiting and training younger volunteers, primarily ages 15 to 17, with a long-term goal of creating pathways that support lifelong participation in the sport of fishing, as well as a commitment to volunteerism.  The audience for the program already exists in the form of youth fishing clubs, Scout groups, and even high school outdoor education programs being served by Fishing’s Future Katy Chapter.  The program will introduce young people to the sport of fishing, provide mentoring for them to become AED instructors alongside an adult volunteer, and set a foundation to retain them as volunteers and educators once they reach the age of 18.
