Are you looking for ways to spend more time with your family?
Vamos a Pescar (Let’s Go Fishing), in coordination with Fishing’s Future and Texas Parks & Wildlife, is sponsoring online Family Fishing Camps as well as in person fishing events. This is open for ALL families.
The program includes 4 online sessions and hands-on activities on Texas fishing, water safety, habitat, & rules. You will also be sent some videos teaching regulations, cleaning & cooking your catch , as well as how to shop for fishing equipment. Participants will also learn to be good stewards of land and water. Event dates and activities can be found by clicking on the events link below. You can start with ANY Session. There are 13 opportunities to complete all 4 online sessions for a total of 52 sessions. This is over Zoom and you are with a presenter that can also answer questions you might have.

Must be registered to attend any of the online or in person events as well as to help in pre and post surveys.
The ONLINE Sessions will be limited to 25 participants (youth and adults). We ENCOURGE Families to learn together.
The IN PERSON FISHING Session will be limited to 10 – 25 participants (youth and adults) unless registration says differently.

POSITIVE RESULTES – 6-3-2023
Driscol Health Plan employee’s were TPWD Angler Education Instructor Certified by Shane Wilson & Michael Scherer in IN PERSON and ON LINE ZOOM Sessions.
They called it “HOOK IT 2 COOK IT”
This was the results of what they did along side community sponsors, Fishing’s Future, and Fishing’s Future Family Fish Tank.
The participants went to various locations to learn about fishing. Once their cards were punched they moved over to the iCATCH Tank to try their luck at catching a fish, learn to cleanit, and then learn to cook it.
